Work

Since 2010, and until the end of the term of office of the fourth panel, on 28 February 2026, the panel delivered 313 opinions, 67 of which were delivered by the first panel, 80 by the second panel, 96 by the third panel and 70 by the fourth panel. Those opinions dealt, in 150 cases, with renewal of the candidates’ term of office and, in 163 cases, with first terms of office.

In total, 277 of the opinions delivered since the panel started work in 2010, and until 28 February 2026, were favourable and 36 were unfavourable. No unfavourable opinions were delivered on candidates for renewal of a term of office. Consequently, 22 % (36 out of 163) of the opinions on candidates for a first term of office were unfavourable.
